Responsibilities and Duties

 

Contortion Intructors are responsible for strength and flexibility, and includes moves such as backbends, front bends and  splits leading classes for individual or groups of people. Their duties are closely related to teaching various techniques. Teachers give lessons to both children and adults by demonstrating in the classes in order to effectively teach students new moves.

 

Dance teachers will perform many of the following tasks:

• Monitoring student’s performance.

• Planning activities.

• Instructing students virtually or in-studio.

• Making suggestions to students.

• Adapting teaching methods to meet student’s needs.

 

It would be great if instructors had a Dance Degree or Certificate. It is not necessary as long as they have extensive background in this area is enough to be a teacher. These Certifications include techniques such as Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballroom dance, Liturgical, Acro, Contortion, and many more.
